The Role of Perfect Assessments in the Learning Management System

Tags: , , , , , , , ,

There are a lot of tools that make studying easy and a Learning Management System is one such tool that is highly effective. The assessment of medical students’ performance has to be very accurate. This gave rise to the Histology assessment.

There are three things that have an influence on a student’s performance: skill, school and surrounding.  It is highly essential to know about this factors in order to come to a conclusion about assessment and its effects in the learning process.

One should remember that the method and frequency of assessment in an LMS has an effect on the quality of learning in the student.  Rote learning of lessons and concepts doesn’t help the student in improving his/her knowledge. Similarly, if the assessments are conducted very often, the student would fail to absorb the real content.

Both of the scenarios stated above are bad for a student’s learning. Hence it’s a good practice to conduct the assessment in such a way that it is beneficial for the student. This will help students realize that assessments are only good for them.

A perfect assessment procedure is highly essential in an LMS as it adds value to the course. By reducing the gap between the student’s practical and theoretical knowledge he/she can get full knowledge about the subject. This would be a welcome change as it works in favour of the education system.

The teachers’ increased involvement is also one of the benefits that can be incurred through this method. This approach benefits both the students as well as the teachers.

As a Learning Management System focuses on each and every individual, there is no point of conducting group tests. Students can thus get a better idea on the lessons and prepare well. The assessment method can also be modified in such a way that it acts as a morale booster for the students.

The rapid changes in education are the factors that have prompted the changes in assessments. The methods of teaching as well as testing go hand in hand and hence have to be changed simultaneously.

Teachers are not hesitating to adopt these changes as they prove to give good results.  By doing this one should never forget the existing system too. These changes are accepted without second thoughts as they only make the module better. It’s important to not disregard traditional methods just because these changes are proving to be fruitful.
